Gothic lockpicking
Gothic Lockpick Solver Tool
This tool page is for players who already know they need a Gothic lockpick solver and want the shortest path from observed pins to safe targets.
Open the solverWhat the solver expects
Choose 4 to 8 plates, enter the current pin shown for each plate, then enter the target position you want each plate to reach.
If two plates move together, mark the pair as same. If one rises while the other falls, mark the pair as opposite. Leave uncertain pairs as none until you confirm them in game.
How the result is built
The solver treats each plate turn as a safe reversible move and searches the modular plate positions for a sequence that lands exactly on the target.
The output includes plate notation such as P1R or P3L, a state timeline, and a share link for guide notes or stream chat.
When to use each strategy
Shortest is the default for quick chest solving. Safe keeps lower-risk tie breaks when linked plates can be solved in more than one way.
Fewer switches is useful when you want to minimize jumping between plate controls, even when the final move count is close.
FAQ
Does the solver need every possible link?
No. Add only the links you have observed. Unknown pairs can remain as none, then you can revise the setup if the result does not match the lock.
Can I share a solved lock?
Yes. The share button copies a URL that stores plate count, pins, targets, links, and strategy without personal data.
